WG-700 – Whisker-Reinforced Ceramic
Inserts for Hard Machining

Greenleaf’s WG-700 is a high-performance whisker-reinforced ceramic insert grade specifically engineered for extreme machining conditions, including high-speed milling and turning of hard and abrasive materials. Designed with a silicon carbide whisker matrix embedded in an alumina base, WG-700 delivers exceptional fracture toughness and thermal shock resistance, outperforming conventional ceramics in aggressive machining environments.

Ideal for cutting hardened steels, nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys, and cast iron, WG-700 allows cutting speeds significantly higher than carbide — often exceeding 5-10 times the speed rates. Available in a full range of turning, grooving, milling, and special application geometries, WG-700 excels where heat, wear, and chipping would normally limit tool performance.

Ceramic End Mills
XSYTIN®-360 Solid Ceramic End Mills

Greenleaf’s XSYTIN®-360 solid ceramic end mills are engineered for extreme material removal rates and ultra-long tool life, especially in hard-to-machine materials like nickel-based alloys, cobalt-chrome, and hardened steels. Manufactured from Greenleaf’s proprietary XSYTIN-1 ceramic matrix, these end mills provide up to 10 times greater productivity compared to carbide tools in high-speed roughing applications.
XSYTIN®-360 ceramic end mills
Available in diameters from 6 mm (0.236") to 20 mm (0.787") with 4-, 5-, or 7-flute configurations, the XSYTIN-360 series supports aggressive machining parameters including high surface speeds (up to 20,000 SFPM) and heavy chip loads. Designed for both roughing and semi-finishing, these tools deliver unmatched wear resistance, heat tolerance, and reduced cycle times, making them ideal for aerospace, power generation, and medical manufacturing sectors.

G-9610 – Advanced Ceramic Grade
for Titanium Turning

Greenleaf’s G-9610 is a next-generation ceramic insert grade specifically developed for high-speed turning of titanium alloys and other heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA). Formulated for exceptional chemical and thermal stability, G-9610 maintains edge integrity at elevated temperatures, allowing for much higher cutting speeds than carbide or even other ceramics. It excels in continuous and light-to-moderate interrupted cuts, providing consistent tool life, minimized built-up edge, and excellent surface finishes.
G-9610 is a PVD-coated carbide grade designed for turning titanium-based alloys
Available in a wide variety of ISO-standard insert shapes and edge preps, G-9610 enables efficient roughing and finishing of titanium components, making it a top choice for aerospace, medical implant, and power generation industries where titanium machining challenges are common.
